Read Mage Solar RV solar panel reviews for great outdoor festival power

Make no mistake about it, as more and more music festivals in the United States and elsewhere move outdoors, there’s been a tremendous search for alternative power sources.

A lot of people think that a lot of rock acts are being hypocritical when they move to outdoor venues. A lot of these rock acts or alternative music bands make a big deal of the claim that they are somehow, some way, environmentally conscious.

Now, this delights a lot of critics of global warming because a lot of these self conscious rock acts tend to travel the globe. Critics of global warming-ranging from those who dismiss climate change outright as some sort of elaborate hoax fueled by wishful thinking and virtue signaling to those who simply oppose the lack of science of such global warming claims-would relish such rank hypocrisy. After all, if you are going to talk and talk and talk, at least bother to walk to your talk!

On the one hand, you cannot say that we live in an age of global climate change and on the other hand, you find yourself jumping on one jet after another burning tons of fossil fuel. You have to make sure that your actions line up with the words coming out of your mouth.

This has always been the pitfall of many rock acts who try to take a stand. Because hey, let’s face it, deep down inside, we’re all hypocrites. At some level or another, we cannot walk our talk. That’s just the nature of the beast.

Try as we might, somehow, some way, our best intentions often get tripped up by how we actually behave.

Now, no group has a monopoly of this. Great rock acts definitely haven’t cornered the market as far as hypocrisy and self righteousness are concerned. This is why there is a growing self consciousness in the global music scene to be more consistent.

While we can all agree that 100% consistency is probably out of the picture, there is a lot of progress to be made. Take the case of outdoor festivals.

For the longest time, a lot of these outdoor festivals use generation sets. Now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that these outdoor gensets actually burn up a tremendous amount of fossil fuel.

By switching as much as possible to solar panels or other solar powered energy sources, rock acts playing outdoor festivals can do their small part in helping fight global warming.
